Company Announces Construction of 'Grid-Scale' Fusion Power Plant

Energy startup Commonwealth Fusion Systems has announced that it will begin construction of the "world's first grid-scale" nuclear fusion power plant near Richmond, Virginia.this week that it was "one step closer" to making fusion energy — fusing atoms together inside a reactor, like the process that powers stars in the night sky — a reality with a multibillion-dollar investment in the facility.
