How will the California wildfires shape the home insurance industry?

In recent years, insurers like Allstate, American National, The Hartford and State Farm have stopped renewing policies or issuing new policies for California homeowners.

Thursday, January 9, 2025 8:35PMThe multiple wildfires raging in California are being described by eyewitnesses as "apocalyptic." While the cost in human suffering is immeasurable, it may take weeks or longer for the true economic toll to be realized.
