TOKYO - Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso said on Tuesday that the government won voters’ confidence in a planned sales tax hike in October through Sunday’s upper house election. Aso told reporters after a cabinet meeting that the election gave the ruling coalition a stable political footing by giving it a solid majority in the upper house.Reporting by Tetsushi Kajimoto; Editing by Chang-Ran Kim

Imagine saying- I trust my mechanic more so I want him to raise the rate that they charge to fix my car.

Japanese people are masochists.

I think there is no public trust for tax hike.

麻生太郎の家が麻生炭鉱で朝鮮人徴用者を通して資本を蓄積した家に税金の重要性を忘却している。消費税を引き上げれば、消費不振でデフレを再陥ることになる。

Important point is now LDP's votes at Upper cabinet is less than half. So if new law go through the cabinets is upto their coalition Komeito agrees or not.

Nooooo! Tax hike is more money for government on the backs of citizens. More money means more corruptions. It needs to be balanced better, and not a tax hike!!!
