Coronavirus impact bites as Chinese tourists to WA cancel in droves

A recent survey by the WA Tourism Council conducted prior to the coronavirus outbreak recorded 67 per cent of WA tourism businesses had seen cancellations and a fall in forward bookings. As the number of confirmed cases of deadly coronavirus in Australia continues to grow, experts are beginning to get a greater understanding of the disease and its impact."Particularly the Central Chinese Government measures to stop group travel and discourage people from travelling out of China is having an immediate effect on businesses for cancellations and forward bookings," he said.

The bigger issue is people's health, tourism is not the main focus nor is hurt feelings by Chinese Australians

The Chinese Govt had told all your companies to cancel all internal and external travel.

Fairly sure their tourism would be taking a bigger hit.

So are they cancelling because they don't want to travel on planes from the area with the virus or they think they are at risk of catching it in Australia
