Despite loss of OzzyOsbourne's US tour, live industry is covered

"I'm so thankful that everyone has been patient because I've had a shit year," Osbourne said in a release. “I don't want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it's just not fair to the fans. I'd rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.

Osbourne revealed the first slate of his second farewell tour in February 2018 that launched with an August 30 show in Allentown, Pa. following appearances at Welcome to Rockville and FortRock earlier in the year. The first leg saw its first disturbance in October when Osbourne was forced to cancel the final four dates in California and Nevada when he underwent hand surgery after contracting a staph infection.

Fans were optimistic for Osbourne’s return when he announced in November 2019 that Marilyn Manson would join him for the rescheduled North American dates. Unfortunately, Osbourne revealed in January that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. In the interview withon Jan. 21, Osbourne called 2019 the "worst, longest, most painful, miserable year of my life."

"Our biggest concern is that Ozzy gets healthy. All of us at this office, we’ve followed his career for so long and are such huge fans,"” says, booking manager of Tacoma Dome which was set to host Osbourne on July 11. "It is a disappointment because it is his farewell tour. He’s got [longtime guitarist]playing guitar. It would have been a great one. We will keep hope alive that maybe at some point down the road he could reschedule.
