A New York woman turned her passion for old homes into a business that has more than 1 million followers on social media. Here's how she did it — and her 3 tips for anyone trying to do the same.

"Because it's something that's going to take over your life, it's going to be very exhausting if you have to keep up with a facade," she told Business Insider. When Finkelstein first started CIRCA, she spent a lot of time cold emailing to get the word out. Now, she has a staff member who manages the real-estate listings that come in.
