Mark Zuckerberg denied a report that Facebook is considering sharing smartphone location data with the US government to help track the coronavirus

Facebook is not in talks with the US government about sharing users' smartphone location data to help fight the spread of the coronavirus, CEO Mark Zuckerberg told reporters on a conference call Wednesday.

Zuckerberg's denial came after The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that Facebook, Google, and other tech companies were in talks with the government about a creating a system that would use location data toand to see whether social distancing guidelines were actually being followed.
