JOHOR BARU: Action will be taken against business owners who don't listen to advice from local authorities in relation to the 14-day movement control order (MCO).

Johor Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Ayub Jamil said all local authorities had been told to hand out information notices to business owners, including stall operators and shop owners, on the guidelines they needed to adhere to during the MCO."However, if they refuse to cooperate after receiving the notices, immediate action will be taken against them," he said in a statement on Thursday .

"The state government understands the difficulties business owners have to endure during this trying time. "We are confident that all parties also understand why we need to take such measures for the safety of all Malaysian," he said.
