PETALING JAYA: Companies that have approval to deliver essential goods to Singapore can submit applications to the Transport Ministry to ensure a smooth flow in the supply chain.

The Transport Ministry said that this following the closure of the Road Transport Department counter services during the movement control order period and the move to exempt road tax renewal.

“We note that logistics operators still require a valid road tax to obtain their monthly permit issued by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore to enter Singapore. The ministry added that the application would be streamlined with Puspakom inspection and the vehicle permit issuance by the Land Public Transport Agency , if necessary, and the companies must furnish the following documents in their applications:2) Confirmation of goods to be delivered and its related information ; and
