The millions of ringgit in savings should be donated to improving Malaysia's healthcare system. FMTNews MCO Insurance

Recently a letter apparently written by a CEO of a health insurance agency detailed the drop in medical claims by 59% for hospital admissions during the movement control order period.

This will lead to less referrals to private hospitals for patients who need further specialist management. Many elective surgeries, although necessary, are delayed. This is to prepare for the possibility of government patients needing to transfer to private facilities in case there is an overwhelming surge of Covid-19 patients in government hospitals.

On the patients’ side, many do not go for check-ups or consultation due to MCO and the need to stay at home. We have yet to count the costs of all the unintended non-Covid physical and mental health sequelae of MCO, not to mention the economic devastation to society at large.

Insurance co. pls get the ball rolling. We never fail to pay the monthly premium just to make sure you survive in the market.

I don't believe they would contribute, they consistently want to make money. What is their contribution during MCO?
