KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has more or less lifted all restrictions on business activities, allowing businesses to operate freely with effect from Saturday (May 9).

The latest to be given the green light are food outlets, which can now offer dine-in, shopping complexes and all public transport and public parks are also reopening.

Others given the go-ahead are laundry services, clothing shops, furniture shops, jewellery stores, electric and electronic businesses, stationery shops, pet shops, workshops, optical shops and other retail outlets.“All retail and food outlets must follow the standard operating procedures set by the Health Ministry and the local authorities to curb the spread of the Covid-19,” he said.

Passenger and roro-ferry services may also restart, including for trips between Menumbok-Labuan and Kudat-Pulau Bangi.
