There are “serious challenges ahead” for the fitness market even as gyms reopen.

A multi-state coalition was formed after a public outcry, made up of the Attorneys General of New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania. In an open letter to TSI , they threatened to “take whatever steps are necessary to protect our citizens” if multiple policy changes didn’t take place.

Ruben Munoz uses the seated rowing machine during his workout at Flex 24 in Odessa, Texas, Monday, May 18, 2020. As an extra precaution, the gym was requiring all gym-goers to disinfect machines before and after each use to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. But some customers aren’t satisfied with TSI’s concessions. One member, Mary Namorato, is proceeding with a class action complaint that she filed against the gym giant in late March.

At least six major fitness chains are facing legal challenges from customers after allegedly charging fees during lockdown. The law firm Bursor & Fisher, P.A. is acting for plaintiffs against three of these companies: 24 Hour Fitness, Blink Fitness, and Fit Republic. In one notable case, LA Fitness is being sued by a member who had belonged to the club for 14 years.

Brazil frist reopen academi fitness!

The virus is not their fault. Just like all businesses there is a new danger and it will have to change. Will be must easier than hair/nail salons. Not sure what massage and chiropractic businesses will do.

To say the least! Most people go to workout to relieve stress, just looking at pictures off what the “new norm” is makes me depressed! No thanks!

Just reopen.

I’m ready to start my own underground gym for those who want to build an immune system

All that heat, moisture, and well-used touch-feely surfaces? That's a no from me.

Fuck gyms

In other news, Charlie Kirk said technocratic elites hate anybody who don’t believe what they believe. He stated that Blues State governors accuse Trump of oppressing local governments.

An ER chief resident says Covid-19 fear is worse than the virus itself. After having taken care of Covid-19 patients for weeks in intensive care, he says the virus is even milder than former flu viruses and he calls people to eventually wake up!

davereaboi There are too many anyhow

I used to work out at the local gym for the better part of a decade. And the staff did what they could. The members were the issue; not wiping down equipment, and if they did using their sweaty towel, not putting gear back. If they do reopen they need to have a 0 tolerance policy

The fatness industry is doing just fine

Not mine, but they’re opening on Monday.

Oh absolutely, cheat me once cheat me again. PLEASE I beseech you steal more. Thanks

Who cares. Gyms gotta be a cesspool of covid.

How about GovernorTomWolf actually opening them and we will see if people are afraid or not. We are adults and can decide for ourselves

I won't be going back to VASAFitness anytime soon after they reopen and its not because of them but I don't trust the members

You should cover greedy landlords who seem to be the only ones who aren’t taking a HUGE loss over this! Renters, business ....

Maybe people will see more value in equipping a home gym now. It can be done relatively inexpensively. Gyms have been preying on people for a long time.

Fight to regain trust? What? They were forced to shut down by government and they have to regain trust. I’m confused here

If Republicans had any desire to help actual people, not billionaires/millionaires, they would have frozen rents/mortgages during the shutdown. Instead we just gave a bunch of money to Trump's friends.

Democrats arresting owners

Democrats should continue in their lockdown

Businesses have to learn to go digital during these times...

We are up to the challenge.

This is why I love Planet Fitness. I can sanitize the machine myself regardless of if the workers do it or not, so I know I'm taking proper precautions even if someone else doesn't. Unfortunately, ours is still closed. 😖

'Fight to regain trust' this is the opinion of literally no one. Most people are in support of their local gyms, and are glad to go back, once we can, safely, with proper precautions.

Steroid dealers are jumping with joy along with their withering ballsacks.

China send the virus to us more than likely its die already

They probably have to rely on messaging that drives home that working out reduces mortality risk...but they'll probably also need to run many promotions

Temporarily

Your for democrat all the way all news is ahd we know bias

It sounds like nursing homes should have been shut down immediately and schools may have been able to stay open.

'You are not on earth to be safe. You are on earth to lead a full life.'

I'd rather lick elevator buttons.....
