Airbnb employees feel betrayed as 1,900 layoffs rip apart a company culture based on trust and loyalty

The decision to cut the safety team, which is in charge of handling violent situations, has reportedly come under fire, especially following aChesky had originally been praised for his approach to slashing budgets and laying off employees, but Airbnb employees told The New York Times that a storm of discontent was brewing.

On the heels of the initial layoffs, a backlog of new safety cases mounted, The Times reported, and after a week or so, the company was already begging a handful of freshly laid-off employees to help with the new cases, but without the promise of long-term employment.was one of the company's utmost concerns, employees reportedly begged to differ.

Some wondered why certain teams, such as the safety team, were cut, while others weren't. Others thought it was outrageous that the company couldn't trim more perks, like rented office plants, according to The Times.

Lol why you even make this article ? This is true for every person that's ever been laid off, Airbnb employees aren't any different.

Snowflakes-- they are getting hit hard, therefore the only way to survive is to trim the fat.

Funny, they should have known that the only 'trust' the company has is to make and keep M O N E Y, not pay it out in salary. They are all expendables: in order to make and keep a bottom line. It's simple.
