Unions and big business have made a united call on the federal government to provide paid pandemic leave to all workers who need to isolate and get tested for the coronavirus | nickbonyhady

Unions and big business have made a united call on the federal government to provide paid pandemic leave to all workers who need to isolate and get tested for the coronavirus.

Jennifer Westacott, chief executive of the Business Council of Australia, says the federal government should bear the cost of paid pandemic leave."The recent outbreaks in Victoria have highlighted that there are still a number of workers who are attending work whilst infectious or at risk, which is accelerating the rate of community transmission," reads the letter, signed by ACTU secretary Sally McManus and BCA chief executive Jennifer Westacott.
