EXCLUSIVE: LinkedIn data shows the UK industries that are most (and least) worried about returning to the workplace during the coronavirus pandemic

. But on August 1, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson officially stopped encouraging people to work from home — employees should decide when workers are ready to return, he said.

The website found that around six in 10 people were worried about being exposed to people that don't follow proper COVID-19 protocols in the workplace. More than four in 10 respondents, 42%, said they were worried about how close they would be to co-workers in their offices. This figure rose to 49% in the education sector, and was above 50% for both the healthcare and public administration industries.

"A more flexible future is inevitable, particularly with some organisations noting higher levels of engagement and productivity during this time, which will ultimately be good for people and business," she said.
