Digital Business Plan to put households and businesses 'on same page' as it 'unwinds red tape': PMPrime Minister Scott Morrison says government, householders and businesses need to "be on the same page" as he seeks to unwind red tape and accelerate the uptake of technology as part of an $800 million Digital Business Plan. "Going digital greatly unburdens both individuals and businesses in how they deal with government," Mr Morrison said.
"In recent months we have seen a rapid acceleration produced by the necessity of businesses really engaging and upgrading their digital capabilities. "What we're announcing today will build on that, will strengthen that and will accelerate it.
ScottMorrisonMP I'd be surprised if this Luddite even knows how to turn a computer on
ScottMorrisonMP Easy. Put everyone on a level playing field paying their share of Australia's public goods, and ensure the government is criminally accountably if they don't deliver those public goods. auspol nitv bachelorau

PM's digital business stimulus 'a rotten idea' from the 'Liberal party compost bin' | Sky News AustraliaThe economic response to the coronavirus headed by the Morrison government reaches back into the “Liberal party compost bin of rotting ideas” and lacks innovation says Shadow Assistant Treasurer Andrew Leigh.\n\nThe federal government is seeking to incentivise businesses to adopt and transition to digital technologies through its $800 million Digital Business Plan, in a move designed to allow more businesses to operate through the pandemic and boost Australia's GDP up to $6.5 billion over four years.\n\nMr Leigh said while technological uptake was important, the “best way” of getting Australians engaged with technology was to expand education.\n\n“The idea we need to be taking money out of superannuation, that we need to be fighting culture wars in universities, that we need more irresponsible lending - these are discredited ideas that the Liberal party is running with,' he said.\n\n“They’ve looked for an opportunity now to privatise the recovery, essentially asking Australians to rip money out of their retirement savings, to be poorer in retirement, in order to get through the pandemic.\n\n“Many other countries have provided much more generous levels of support.”\n\nMr Leigh said the government should be looking to invest in “skills and productivity” in order to build the profit-yielding capacity of the nation. \n\n ALeighMP Agre ALeighMP all his ideas are crap..he is the most narrow minded PM ive ever seen in 50 years ALeighMP So ripping off pensioners through the claw back of deeming credits is innovative.
