IPOH: The Ipoh City Council will issue compounds to owners of business premises who fail to fly the state flag, in conjunction with the birthday of Perak’s Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, says Datuk Rumaizi Baharin.

“Those who fail to fly the flag would be advised to do so, and if they don’t adhere to the directive, then compounds will be issued.

“All buildings, including government agencies, must also fly the state flag, ” he said in a statement on Monday .Rumaizi said the hoisting of the Perak state flag at their respective premises is a symbol of loyalty to the Sultan. He said to brighten up the atmosphere of the celebration, government buildings and business premises are encouraged to light up until midnight on Nov 5.
