U.S. stocks rose at the opening bell on Friday despite signs of weakness in the labor-market as job gains moderated.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.34% rose 0.3% to 30,045. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.40% was up 0.1% to 12,390, a day after setting a record close. The S&P 500 SPX, +0.49% gained 0.3% to 3,678. The U.S. economy added 245,000 jobs in November, falling short of the 432,000 consensus estimate. Average hourly earnings, however, rose 0.3%.
