The government has confirmed there will be no JobKeeper extension for the hospitality industry despite Restaurant and Catering Australia CEO Wes Lambert writing and asking for the scheme to be extended.

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell said one concern surrounding the scheme is it can lead to a labour shortage

with people neglecting to apply for jobs while they’re on JobKeeper. The JobKeeper scheme will finish up at the end of March.

Good it has to stop

Guess Wes didn't 'donate' to the LNP.

I hope these restaurants refuse to feed Scumo

I agree with this move by the Government .The Hospitality Industry is now in a position to operate more close to normal - its the Tourism Operators and Aviation that really need support whom International Visitors and Travel play such a high % role in their capacity to operate

Wonder Why .,

Keep it for all the so called return travellers instead.
