Get companies to donate laptops to needy pupils, says Umno Youth chief

Umno Youth chief Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has urged the government to use its emergency powers to compel corporations to donate laptops to pupils who need it for lessons at home. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 24, 2021.

PUTRAJAYA should use its emergency powers to get conglomerates to donate laptops to needy pupils for online learning, said Umno Youth chief Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki. Aysraf said the government should pay “serious attention” to the 4.7 million pupils in 10,220 primary and secondary schools who may not have access to necessary tools for online learning such as smartphones or laptops.
