The key, Kelly said, was that the New European has a strong sense of the makeup of its pro-European readership — about 60% male and 43% over the age of 50, according to a pitch deck obtained by Insider. The New European carries no advertising, something that Kelly expects will change as he attempts to grow the subscriber base and diversify revenue streams.
