KOTA KINABALU: Sabah entrepreneurs should widen their markets by tapping into the online business model, says Flovia Ng.

The state Assistant Community Development and People's Well-being Minister said it was important for local traders and businesses to go online so that they do not lose business opportunities in the fast growing sphere of online trading.

"Don't be left behind," Ng said at the launching of QPack Malaysia's first branch in Sabah here Friday .Ng said that the online business became a lifeline for many traders especially since the Covid-19 pandemic changed the way of life and how people did business. On the opening of the QPack branch, she said that the company provides packaging and such offers would work well for traders selling products using online marketing.

She said local entrepreneurs must be brave as they will be able to compete with alternative and better packaging solutions offered. Ng added that the opening of Qpack branches would create more job opportunities in the state, adding that the company's founder Catherine Dumas is Sabahan.
