Since the inception of its operations of the Otakikpo marginal field, Green Energy International Limited has continuously recognized its responsibility to create prosperity for the society especially its host communities by addressing poverty and related development deficit.The thrust of the Company’s CSR and Sustainability work is targeted to capacity building, empowerment of communities, socio-economic growth, and environment protection.

The Chairman of Green Energy International, Prof. Anthony Adegbulugbe in a stakeholder meeting recently, expressed that the company is positioned as drivers of economic and social change, especially for young people in the region. In his words, “we believe that when you empower a child, you have empowered a community, and then the society at large benefits.

Green Energy has also extended scholarship awards to post-primary students from host communities and the rest of Andoni LGA with a target of over 300 beneficiaries. In addition, we have funded 24 post-graduates, 154 undergraduates, 59 Polytechnic students, 18 School of Nursing students and training of two Boeing 737 pilots under the Ikuru Town Bursary Awards programme.
