Antonio Guterres, the United Nations Secretary General said that richer countries like European Union member states need to make financial contributions to help poorer countries tackle climate change

With less than five months to go until the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland, there are increasing tensions around climate finance - money rich countries have pledged to transfer to poorer countries to ensure they can both cut emissions and adapt to a hotter planet.

Guterres said trust needed to be rebuilt between developed and developing countries, by making good on the promise. No. Countries should use their taxes to tackle climate change without paying a penny into the UN . It is a wasteful political organisation, completely unaccountable, and has achieved virtually nothing since its founding.
