The country ambassador of the International Human Rights Movement, Comrade Salisu Musa, made the statement on Saturday, while briefing pressmen on the predicaments faced by the victims of the fire incident in their office at Madugu House along Kofar Kwaya road.He further alleged that the victims are now languishing in poverty, without food to eat.
IHRM said their findings revealed that the marketers incur losses to the tone of N50 million daily due to government’s decision to disregard plea from victims to personally reconstruct their shops on the ground that the government plan to rebuild the market into upstairs so as to decongest the overcrowded market.
IHRM further urged the state government to look into how it can utilize Dubai market to revamp the growth of the state’s economy and reduce the rate of unemployment in the state. “The international human right movement also urge the katsina state government to look into the possibility of the utilization of the Dubai Market which would alter the economic growth of the state and would help to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state,” Comrade Musa further added.
