Motorists are advised to avoid the Crown Interchange in a shooting incident. The route has been closed to traffic and motorists are urged to make use of alternative routes.

Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department Spokesperson, Xolani Fihla says details surrounding the incident are still sketchy.

“There’s a shooting incident at the Crown interchange on the M2 east in Selby and the M2 east is completely close by the police. Expect heavy delays on the M1 north heading to the interchange. Also, expect heavy delays on the M2 leaving crown. Motorists are advised to avoid the interchange as traffic is being diverted onto the M1,” says Fihla.Meanwhile earlier this morning, Motorists were urged to drive with caution around the Snake Park area in Soweto, due to protest action.

Johannesburg Metro Police Department’s Wayne Minaar says police are maintaining a presence in the area. “Motorists should exercise caution at Impala Road and the main entrance of Snake Park. More officers have been sent to assist with traffic,” said Minaar earlier on Monday.

I attempted suicide yesterday because I feel less of a man for not being able to provide for my family. My children have been sleeping hungry for over a week now and I'm not working😭. I humbly ask for any food donation🙏🏻. For my babies🙏🏻💔
