Three suspects have been arrested following the kidnapping of a business man in De Deur on the Vaal. The victim was rescued unharmed in Lenasia south.

In the past week alone, eight suspects linked to kidnappings have been arrested where ransom demands were made“The teams swooped in three identified addresses; one in Lenasia south with the victim found unharmed. At his address police arrested the owner of the property, a 70-year-old Mozambican national.

At the second address in Ennerdale police found a dark Toyota Hilux and fake registration number plates which were utilised in the commission of the crime. One suspect – a Malawian national was arrested. When police arrived at the third address in Roodepoort, they were met with gun fire. One suspect – a South African national was arrested. One licensed firearm was also seized,” Police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe explains.
