The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) and the Hawks have seized documents belonging to National Lottery Board officials in Kimberley, Northern Cape, on Thursday. The raid follows alleged corrupt activities at board offices in the province. lotto lottery

The raid follows alleged corrupt activities at board offices in the province.

SIU spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago says their investigation into the alleged corruption started in 2020. Two officials in Kimberley are alleged to have run a scheme where they would take cuts from non-profit organisations for approving funds.

When is the the SIU gunning for Ramaphosa Son company which benefitted illegally from state coffers? Why the people in government are allowed to do business with government? And when are government officials who are responsible for mismanaged and over priced contracts going to be charged? Officials should be aware of comparative prices and contracts before being allowed to work with tenders and money.
