“Only 62 out of the 276 companies indicated that more than half of the employees could work from home or telecommute,” Castillo said. “Some job categories and functional work areas may not be feasible for WFH and telecommuting arrangements. These include machine operators in the manufacturing and construction sectors, security and janitorial services, and transportation and material moving occupations,” Castillo said.

She also proposed for more consultation with stakeholders to come out with a more refined criteria for companies and workers to be eligible for WFH.
