A Durban police officer who allegedly shot and killed his 12-year-old son after mistaking him for an intruder has been arrested and is expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

She says they are investigating the case where a police officer fatally wounded the minor with a service pistol. Police spokesperson, Jay Naicker, says officers from the Greyville Police Station were called to the scene and the child was taken to a nearby hospital.
