are investigating whether she threw a head of broccoli at the stall holder before he lashed out.

It's alleged the female customer and male stall staff member became involved in an argument which turned physical shortly after 10am on Tuesday, police said.A woman has ended up in hospital after a fight with a fruit shop worker at Queen Victoria Market. Stunned witnesses came running to the woman's aid after she was allegedly pushed to the ground, hitting her head on the concrete."I came back to my car and there a woman lying next to my car and I was stunned and she was totally lifeless," he said.Eugene Hawryszko witnessed the "shocking" incident.Shortly after, police took her alleged attacker into custody.

The 31-year-old man has been released from custody and will be charged on summons with unlawful assault.
