'There is one hospitality business per day that’s closing at the minute, the last time we had that was in 2012. I think we could exceed that statistic in the next number of months' - Adrian Cummins, chief executive of the Restaurants Association

The Restaurants Association has said closures in the hospitality sector could hit recession levels due to a perfect storm of factors.

Adrian Cummins, chief executive of the organisation, said the government is not taking the issue seriously enough. “We’re at the start of an economic crisis affecting the hospitality sector. There is one hospitality business per day that’s closing at the minute, the last time we had that was in 2012,” he told the Business Post.
