'The collaboration with PRO-NET will go a long way in supporting the switch to sustainable transportation in Malaysia.'

Gentari, which was officially launched last month, said it is growing its business via partnerships and joint collaborations.

"The collaboration with PRO-NET will go a long way in supporting the switch to sustainable transportation in Malaysia by progressing towards making EV adoption more affordable and accessible,” said PETRONAS head of clean energy solutions transition Shah Yang Razalli in a statement. To date, Gentari has already installed more than 225 charging points in Malaysia and India, boosting the range confidence needed in growing EV adoption, he added.

"Initial plans are for the building of 20 DC chargers in 2023 where PRO-NET will be responsible to provide the charging location and power facilities while Gentari will be responsible in providing the charging infrastructure and operatorship solutions," it added.
