Losers

CBItweets Lots of business experts on this thread.

scare stories again like no wine after apr 1st

Business groups with vested interest from the 8% of businesses who operate inside the EU watch in horror.

What's that bussines groups ? Mercedes Benz and BMW and VW?

Easily solved by not trying to gain political positioning and vote for the Deal on offer, get things sorted and then deal with the Irish government and the Border

The reports seem to be saying these business’ are so rubbish they haven’t made contingency plans, it’s no good moaning at the electorate, politicians haven’t helpedveu been worse, but you need to be prepared.

You mean massive corporations who get EU subsidies (UK taxes) look on in horror. What price Democracy?

britishchambers It is of utmost importance and urgency to enable business continuity for the companies.

And many more have prepared for it so who is at fault

Why do not give a balanced view of business? I know several large businesses that cannot wait to break free. Why is it always doom and gloom. Does Sky have an agenda to remain?

ImIncorrigible MPs don't need to stop it. May could take it off the table at any point.

HiddenGem2 Is that the big companies who have their special deal with the eu

Britain imports a third of all food consumed and two thirds of fresh fruit and veg. WTO tarrifa can reach between 50 to 70% on imported food and beverages. They are around 22% into Europe a much bigger trading block than UK. How does this end well for UK?

All of a sudden everyone’s got a crystal ball and they know everything.

CBItweets This is May playing chicken with the UK economy. It’s May’s deal or no deal in her mind. The trouble is few are going to shift their position before the vote in January, so she’s already losing. There has to be a halt to article 50 and a second ref.

Fake news 📰

outnumbered by millions who want to leave with on wto.

Fake sky news again...watching in horror!!!so dramatic 🤮🤮🤮

I'm not in a group like the vast majority of businesses. Even the members of these groups are not 100% against no deal or against Brexit. It's about time the media called out these groups for claiming they represent business and business speaks as one. They don't.

CBItweets Conservatives now unelectable for decades. Damage already done, businesses and investors can now clearly see that the cannot be trusted, we need a new way forward from entrenched two party politics to release innovation, investment and entrepreneurship.

Stop it Sky News.

Shut up Sky this is all your fault and the BBC with your scaremongering tactics you both should be very pleased with yourselves. The high street is dying down to you both and your poor journalism.

The only businesses watching in horror are those who close not to plan. No global business would leave themselves unprepared for this....its just a give us more money to get it done action.

Petition: Leave the EU without a deal in March 2019.

Weird how The press did not give a shit when these same immigration plans applied to non EU migrants.

Oh the fat cats worried about their yachts and jets.

“Oh please help us...our bonuses may be affected by trading on WTO rules”.

But unlike the crash, we'd be willingly inflicting the pain on ourselves. And the ultimate end result would be the return of austerity, not for a few years, but for decades or generations to come.

Estimates for the likely damage range from 7%-10% of GDP. Even at the low end, that's worse than the 2008 financial crash.

Perhaps you're not so sanguine? Perhaps you would quite like the UK to keep manufacturing things? In which case, you need to take heed of just how destructive, how damaging, trading on WTO terms would be.

In other words, Brexiters see manufacturers as collateral damage, to be swept aside in pursuit of Brexit.

For example, Patrick Minford (of Economists for Brexit) is on record as stating that WTO would destroy the UK car industry, but that it it would be a price worth paying for the freedom afforded by Brexit.

A) Don't understand what that means or B) Are lying to you

If rolls were reversed and the EU wanted rid of us, we'd survive and prosper...... to many knockers, that have got used to sipping on the EU nipple for too long.

We will have none. Nothing at all. No country has ever torn up all its international arrangements before (quite frankly, none have been crazy enough to). So we will be in a very lonely, exclusive club. So if somebody tells you the UK will be OK trading on WTO terms, they either:

If all of the above sounds grim, that's because it is. There are no countries in the world that trade exclusively on WTO terms with other nations. None whatsoever. Even North Korea has a couple of trade facilitation arrangements.

You mean Sky News are watching in horror, because they voted Remain

Lol sky news can’t help themselves

You mean Sky Nees?

Don’t worry - Amazon will still get things delivered.

Because they're not very clever business groups !

Remainer bias again. How about an article on the numerous positives.

Really? Now precisely which organisations would those be that supposedly represent so many businesses and are anti WTO Brexit Not the EU funded CBI again? Who then?

I assume these business only do business within the EU then?

Project fear is massive on SKY news lol

7% of businesses dictating to the other 93%, do one CBI

They don’t over rule the referendum vote, so they had better adapt or retire.

Sorry but one vote one person business people’s vote isn’t worth more than the ordinary man or woman down the street. It’s always been no deal and it’s what we voted for to leave all of it not some of it Eu wasn’t going to give us anything.

If Business in Great Britain want this country to sell its Sovereignty in some shady dirty deal, Let those Businesses pay the EU Billions Bill. Great Britain is not for sale even to the corrupt Business & Banks, Look on the Streets at people Living & Dying because of them.

The government are doing what they should have done at the start, if there not going to give us the deal we want we’re off, it’s not in the eu’s interest to let us go with no deal, it’s not to scare us it’s to scare them.

Utter scare stories and what about democracy we voted leave

annmary44 Sky news. Yawn, yawn.

Lies

If the Corrupt EU stop all their Stupid Demands over the UK there would not be talk of a No Deal . We are a country Leaving and not to be dictated too.

It’s all about the huge profits of the big business elites. Let the economy shrink and let the greedy and scroungers leave we are over populated anyway. Hopefully a new Robin Hood will return to re distributeof the wealth of these greedy fat cats .

WE HAVE WANTED TO LEAVE FOR 25 YEARS ...2016 WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY ASKED

The only way to stop no deal is to ratify Mrs May's deal that she has negotiated with the EU but the pig headed MP's refuse to do so

So democratic of them

working class laughing their bo-----s of ------hahahahahahaha were out we got nowt to lose

Scaremongering

fakenews how much do we import from the eu?and how much do we export? then what is the trade deficit? outnow

The downfall of legacy media is almost complete. Your ability to manufacture consent is almost completely lost now. As your power declines you become more extreme, more shrill. Wonderful.😊 Death throes.

No deal is May's ProjectFear

Project Hysteria steps up a gear.

They have had 2 years to prepare. Its no good crying now, any firm that is not ready for brexit does not deserve to keep going.

I have a hard to feeling sorry for businesses coming to the end of their cheap disposable labor and having to actually value their workforce now!

More Sky bollox

Nobody believes all your BS anymore!

and Mars has just crashed into my underpants.

The more the Mainstream try this the more immune people get. Really is a bit silly. Its the old cry wolf. We don't believe you anymore.

NicoleSykes_ This is so idiotic and the media is playing into it. No deal can be easily averted by revoking a50 anytime. If the desire to have brexit is that strong she can easily invoke out again. But it clearly serves multiple interests to manufacture a good crisis!

Define groups .... or better still let’s just say they are your select groups

Just wondering what is truth any more? Would any of us recognise it if it came knocking at our door of REALITY? 🤫🤫🤫

Same CBI who lied last mnth

Better go & tel EU to open the Case.

Trust the elite millionaires to be horrified they are scared of having to pay higher wages to their cannon fodder workers. .

So many conspiracy theories about, what's the real truth😙

I believed the scaremongering at the start but then I kept on seeing a pattern and it's getting boring now. You've got richardbranson piping up saying it will be worse thing since WW2 well sitting on his bloody island 😂🤣😂🤣. I mean you're boring bastards need to get real.

The Remoaner Boulton-led Sky News broadcasting a load of scaremongering nonsense about 'No Deal' which is what we actually VOTED FOR. Their arrogant contempt for democracy and 17.4 million voters is nauseating.

So MPs need to decide whether to ignore their manifesto pledges and listen to these 5 business groups that failed to prepare, or instead listen to the 17.4 million people who voted leave plus the 82% of people who voted for parties with a leave manifesto.

Would suggest business groups remember they are not elected, they are in business to provide big salary for man at the top. Democracy has been utilised & we are leaving. Instead of whingeing might be better if they started to plan

Business groups like Corbyn a lot now

Panicking for no reason, everybody listens too much to yourselves and the other propaganda channel bbc

Well, in the words of the Brexiteer's favourite charlatan Boris Johnson, 'Fuck business'. If people don't understand that the price of a blue passport is hundreds of thousands of jobs, that's their problem. Fed up with these unpatriotic 'reality merchants'. Just BelieveInBrexit

Horror, death, cliff edge, doom, apocalyptic, total destruction, collapse, hell or what the people that voted leave call .....................brexit

Considering only 8% of UK businesses trade directly with the EU & we have a £67,000,000,000 trade deficit with the EU the description business groups ‘watching in horror’ is in accurate. Remain favouring business groups is though!

Bias FAKE propaganda once again by

Late night bullshit skybollocks

Keep telling yourself that. The scaremongering isn't working no more. Bye bye EU 👋

I am from republican of Ireland what's a no deal brexit mean

Fake news a lot of big businesses would welcome the new opportunities and the EU shackles being removed. Yet more project fear from sky

Temporarily perhaps.

Boring.. Another project fear story....

I'll show you horror 😂

Thought Tories were the party of business? They aren’t even that anymore. Self-serving, lying, corrupt, heartless tax dodgers. I despise them with every bone in my body. GTTO

140,000 businesses to get a letter from the government about a possible no deal and now 3,500 troops on standby. It's a complete mess.

Yawn!

Exclusive: Philip Hammond tells business chiefs MPs will stop no-deal BrexitPhilip Hammond told business leaders that the “threat” of a no-deal Brexit could be taken “off the table” within days and potentially lead to Article 50 “rescinded”, a leaked recording of a conference call reveals. Over 330 thousand signed a petition to leave without a deal, not one mention in the news. Hammond speaks that MPs, who cannot even agree a deal will however stop a No deal. What has happened over the last 2 yrs proves that our vote is worthless. If Theresa May does not comment on this I believe it is all an orchestrated establishment tactic with the aim of denying the 2016 referendum result. In business It simply isn’t possible to negotiate a good deal if you’re not prepared to walk away. Taking WTO off the table severely weakens our posistion & ultimately destroys any possibility of the E.U. giving us a good free trade agreement. It would be a very foolish move.
