“We are extremely excited to engage in a partnership with Paper to provide our students with 24/7 access to live tutors to support their learning,” Big Spring Superintendent Kevin Roberts, said in a statement. “The approach of these tutors to provide feedback and instruction, rather than merely correct answers to questions, helps our district to ensure that true learning doesn’t stop with the last bell of the school day.
Paper partners with school districts to offer one-on-one tutoring and the company says students get unlimited 24/7 live help and writing feedback. The chat-based tutoring is offered for students in English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin. “Based on a student’s question, grade level, and language preference, Paper pairs students with the best tutor to meet their needs within 30 seconds,” the company says on its website. “Transcripts of each tutoring session are saved for students whenever they need to revise concepts. Along with live help, Paper also offers an asynchronous essay review tool that allows students to receive annotated feedback on content, grammar, and structure.
Paper is based in Montreal and serves three million students across more than 400 school districts across the United States.
