There were about 50 vendors at the 2022 market, including artisans, food producers and hot food vendors, as well as live music, horse and wagon rides and Santa and Mrs. Claus. “It’s nice keeping the business in the family,” said Trevor. “Two of the employees have been there for 30 years, so, they’re kind of the backbone of the business. It’s nice to keep the tradition going but yet expand.”

Around 40 per cent of their business is wholesale with dealers across the Atlantic region and beyond.Lambe Concrete has a retail shop in Albany, near the Confederation Bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway. They’re open from April to December and by appointment in the off-season. The uptick in customers is welcome as the Lambes brace for an economic downturn. The cost of supplies has doubled for the concrete company recently.
