Foldable smartphones are becoming increasingly common in the business sector, and Samsung says the finance industry in particular benefit from their foldables the most.

has revealed that there’s been a total of 16 million units of foldable smartphones shipped this year, an overall year-on-year increase of 73% with the figure set to grow to 26 million by next year. But it’s the business scene where Samsung’s foldables have seen the greatest growth, with the number of enterprise users having a Samsung foldable smartphone this year more than double of last year.

According to the Korean giant, the financial services industry have been particularly attracted to thethanks to its large display that can be folded down to a pocket friendly size. The larger inner display works great for multitasking and productivity work, while their Flex Mode also makes it easy to conduct hands free video conferencing.

There also highlight other apps that financial professionals will use best on the Galaxy Z Fold 4, such as DocuSign that provides an e-signature solution. It’s been optimised for Android 12L, making it easier for Galaxy Z Fold 4 users to drag and drop their documents into DocuSign to get it signed. Samsung claims that they’ve worked with IBM too to address the challenges financial professionals face when working from beyond their desk.

It’s hard to say whether financial professionals do actually benefit more from using a Galaxy Z Fold 4 compared to a regular smartphone as neither my job title nor my bank account says that I am one. However, Samsung has laid out its case as to why financial professionals or indeed anyone within the corporate business world should be using the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
