$RIGL looks at premium price for newly approved cancer drug AML

Longtime biotech Rigel Therapeutics Inc. has a newly approved blood cancer drug and, come next month, it will have a new home.

Rigel next month is expected to move its headquarters to 13,670 square feet of office space at 611 Gateway Blvd., subleased from Atara Biotherapeutics Inc. . The sublease, which runs into May 2025 at under $50 per square foot, is less than a mile from Rigel's longtime home at 1180 Veterans Boulevard, where it occupies about 81,000 square feet.

The drug will carry a warning for"differentiation syndrome," a sometimes-fatal group of severe reactions by acute myeloid leukemia patients to a drug.
