Business and social activities in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital and its environs have remained grounded after a recent 5-day sit-at-home order. Simon Ekpa, the Finland-based self-proclaimed disciple of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, declared a 5-day sit-at-home from December 9 to 13, across Southeastern Nigeria. While residents of Anambra State went about their normal business throughout the period, business and social activities in Ebonyi State, especially in the state capital have remained down.
