Columbus-area home sales continued to drop sharply in November, as high interest rates and an uncertain economy kept buyers at bay.

The Columbus-area housing market is projected to remain strong in 2023, despite figures released Tuesday that show home sales continuing to drop sharply.

For the month, 2,202 central Ohio homes changed hands, down 27% from 3,018 sales last November, when the housing market was ablaze, according to Columbus Realtors figures. Columbus-area home sales have fallenDespite the decline in sales, there is no evidence that central Ohio home prices are dropping. The median sales price of a Columbus-area home in November was $280,000, up about 7% from a year ago. For the first 11 months of the year, central Ohio home prices are up 11.
