Microsoft and Activision have hit back at the US Federal Trade Commission’s attempt to block the companies’ planned merger

, or other titles which have yet to be announced.

“The European Commission agrees it was not misled, stating publicly the day after the Complaint that Microsoft did not make any ‘commitments’ to the European Commission, nor did the European Commission ‘rely on any statements made by Microsoft about the future distribution strategy concerning ZeniMax’s games’.

“Adding Activision’s content to multigame subscription and cloud gaming, where it would not have been available otherwise, is plainly output enhancing and gives garners more options on how and where to engage with Activision content. It continued: “The FTC’s disregard for these benefits to consumers and focus on supposed harms to Xbox’s deep-pocketed competitors betrays a fundamental disconnect between the FTC’s theories and the antitrust laws’ underlying purpose, which is to protect competition, not competitors. The FTC is asking this Court to protect the world’s largest gaming companies from further competition from Xbox, and thereby turning antitrust on its head.

no points were made they're just crying wolf They act like they're not one of the biggest Tech companies out there right now they act like they don't have a monopoly over the software industry I can compare this accusation to if Google was buying nintendo

Sony are so desperate and pathetic for going through with this. Microsoft has a right to do this same with Sony has a right to claim a developer for exclusives bunch of Hypocrites

Now it's a merger....not an acquisition...

FTC always been trash.

Ftc brought the made up word salads and Sony emotions. Microsoft and Activision brought actual arguments with facts. Take your pick.

Hope they get it. Mainly so some positive changes can happen

Bros I'm tired of this, where can I go to mute words

Absolutely destroyed FTC’s case

They hit them back with facts from what I see in the article.

This deal isn't going through before June 2023 like MS was hoping.

I’d love for laughs that MS just buy COD if the deal falls through on the merger

Sony and the FTC

Hit them back with commen sense

In fine words Activision Blizzard calling FTC and Sony 'traitors with pocket' says very much and in my perspective, puts Sony on the fence on defending their rejection of the acquisition but trying to have Activision not retaliating on 2024 if the purchase ends banned.

Activision just want the money 🤡🤡🤡

Sweetness
