Both Ryan Jocque and Caitlin Jocque worked in restaurants and bars in Old Town Scottsdale while attending Arizona State University. Neither imagined at the time it would become their life’s work, but years later they’ve opened some of the longest-running bars and restaurants in the city.

The first project they worked on together professionally was the Original ChopShop, which opened in Scottsdale in 2013. But to that point, they weren’t really looking to open something together as a couple; it just kind of happened. But the success of ChopShop led to Ryan and Caitlin securing properties in Scottsdale for possible spaces for ChopShop, which ended up housing their other concepts Diego Pops and the Montauk.
