It was reported that the Wisma Jakel in Shah Alam caught fire twice, first on Jan 1 and second on Jan 3.

Shah Alam mayor Dr Nor Fuad Abdul Hamid said:"During my recent visit to Wisma Jakel, the team at Jakel said informally that they were considering setting up a business on a piece of land that they had near the hospital."If they do submit a temporary business application, we will look into it and consider its approval ."

Asked for updates on the Shah Alam Sustainable Urban Drainage Master Plan flood mitigation plan, Dr Nor Fuad said: “Another batch of offer letters for the next phase of the plan are expected to be issued soon and works are expected to start in April this year.

Six of them were new faces, while 17 were reappointed for the 2023 term. The candidate to fill the last 24th spot would be identified by the state government on a later date. Seven of the 23 councillors were women, which Dr Nor Fuad met the Selangor government’s target of having 30% female councillors.
