Daily's mixed-use concept fails to satisfy DDRB

The Downtown Design Review Board members pushed back on a conceptual approval of Daily’s proposed mixed-use project Thursday afternoon.Board members said the design, with 16 fueling stations, a two-story building with a neighborhood market, restaurant space and rooftop bar did not match the area.

The 1.4-acre parcel is bordered by Broad, West Bay, Jefferson and Forsyth streets. Most of the parcel is vacant, and one building on the property will be razed, city documents said. The project is expected to be completed during the first half of 2024. Staff recommended the conceptual approval with comments.

“I feel that we as a board are in a difficult place to make a decision on this application without understanding what the deviations are,” he said.
