Miami developer buys Westside housing complex

Westside affordable housing apartment complex for $19.6 million.

The 168-unit apartment complex located at 7411 La Ventura Drive is near Westside High School and Interstate 295. It was built in 1980, according to property records. The buyer’s address is registered to Related Group in Miami. A company listed under Westgate Apartments LLC is the Related Group’s affordable housing arm Perez Housing Associates LLC, whose CEO is Related Group President Jon Paul Pérez.

Westgate Apartments LLC closed on the sale Thursday from seller Westgate LTD, records show, taking out a mortgage with KeyBank for $19.695 million. Westgate LTD is registered under JCD Westgate LLC at an address used by property management firm and developer Demetree Brothers.
