The new market, bordered by a waist-high metal fence, is surrounded by a working car park with cars entering and exiting the whole time Northants Live were there. Two portaloos have been set up for both traders and customers just outside the market.
Acknowledging the fears of some traders about lack of footfall, he added:"We've been working with bus providers to get buses closer, we've been doing wayfinding to tell people how to get down to the market, we're doing our parking promotions to encourage people to drive down here. It might be a new market for a new audience."
"We'd normally have made about £100 by this time," he said."Today we've made £10." When asked for his thoughts about the new set up, he called it a"pop-up market" whilst one of his staff called it"a mess".
