Some 184 micro-business owners in Caloocan City received cash cards with P10,000 grant last Jan. 30 and Jan. 31, the local government announced on Thursday, Feb. 2.

The cash cards were awarded to the business owners by the City Economic Investment Promotion Office under the Department of Trade and and Industy’s Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay–Pangkabuhayan para sa Pagbangon sa Ginhawa program.

The program aims to assist micro-enterprises that were affected by fire incidents and other calamities, as well as health emergencies.CEIPO officer-in-charge Ms. Alma Bucalen said the beneficiaries were mostly owners of small stalls, sari-sari stores, food carts, barbershops, computer shops and salons, who were affected by the crisis brought by the Covid-19 pandemic or victims of fire incidents in the city.
