Arta said on Saturday that Pasig City’s eBOSS was partially automated, allowing business owners to process some requirements online, while Makati City and Pasay City were still in the process of establishing their own.Meanwhile, Parañaque City was awarded a certificate of commendation for fully setting up a functional eBOSS and streamlining their business permits and licensing procedures.

“When it comes to renewal of business permits and licenses, it is very important that LGUs have what we are implementing and calling as an eBOSS,” Arta Secretary Ernesto Perez said, explaining that it would speed up delivery of services to the public.

The Arta official said further that the agency would continue its series of onsite inspections in the coming months despite the end of business registrations and renewals for most LGUs in January. Aside from the eBOSS, Arta is also set to validate compliance with other provisions of the law, including regulations on the business one-stop shop, citizen’s charter information billboard, citizen’s charter handbook and the feedback and complaints mechanism for government agencies.
