The Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says his department is seeking legal advice regarding the decision of the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria to grant 22 Afghan nationals entry to the country on asylum transit visas.

The Department of Home Affairs had initially refused entry to the Afghans, who are said to be fleeing from the Taliban.

Motsoaledi says they are wondering if the high court’s decision has opened the floodgates for asylum-seekers. “We have decided to look for legal advice on what we need to do – because the judgement didn’t say we must give them asylum. They said we must give them permission to get into the country – go the the nearest refugee reception centre and then apply for asylum. All the issues we raised in court, including the fact that they presented a document written in Arabic, which nobody can understand – the judge then said all those will be at the hearing for asylum.

Sign that lighter skin will always be privileged. Apartheid will never end. Poor zim people will be chased away for being black. Pakistanis are helped to seek asylum.

Those people must go n why you suppose to go to court n for what,🤔 they must go to American world not here. We are not Mother of the world,we are mother of Africa.

Home affairs has allowed so much to happen under its nose and now when they are legally compelled to do a thing they don't want to do it...

How countries did they pass to come here cos this ANC banana country

When will they seek advice about the 10 million illegal foreigners in the country

Solution is to change our laws

Pls stop them, n when u done pls sweep our country of such ppl it's about time they go back home 🙏

Take them back... we gat our problems as a country... plus it seems like they planed everything till they got to South Africa

Waste of resources. Just vet them and let them in and monitor them. There new BMA is there to keep them at the gate anyway 🤙

Lol…..I don’t think they’d still wanna come at this point, which is good for us!!!

Always knew this video would one day come in Handy... 1 of the very few Ministers I respect personally and professionally Dr Aaron Motsoaledi Man Is Saving SA internally & externally

Do they actually know the laws and conventions we signed up to.. what are you serving papers for.. All they asking is for the asylum request to be adjudicated… 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Make a noise about 22 people to make Asif you doing your job… Typical

But you let 1000000 illegal immigrants in… WTF….

Terrorists are here wait and see the first bomb goes off in Santon mall remember America is tired to be bombed alone by Taliban

Good

Legal advice is to give these courts a middle finger and repeat after me, 'this is my country and I will never allow being bullied by USAGov '

Looks like a competent dude 🤣

Something is brewing, USA is a cancer

skaba tlogela

Ask Afriforum to assist. Their legal teams seem much more competent 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

😂 😂 😂 😂 Seeking legal advice

and the taliban is also caming

Spending lots of money on legal fees for 22 people only ?

What legal advice? He should have appealed that nonsensical court ruling before these bastards land on our shores, or is he captured?

These 22 Afghans who are being hunted by the Taliban for assisting/spying for the US are not our problem they are a US problem , we have plenty of our own

Lets us know when they arrive , we will be at every airport to send them packing.

They need to ignore the court's judgment about those 22 Afghan national asylum seekers, because that is what's best for our country's safety... whose people aren't even vented yet, what if we gonna let in people who are in a mission to bomb us? Let them go to the US not here.

Judiciary is anti progress.

Good
