President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has ordered the Anti-Red Tape Authority to simplify the business licensing manual and expand its usage around the country.Marcos made the directive during a sectoral meeting with ARTA Director General Ernesto Perez on Tuesday, April 11.

According to Malacañang, the President has directed Perez to simplify the Business Processing and Licensing Systems manual and expand its usage by local government units nationwide.During the meeting, the ARTA chief presented projects and initiatives, mainly composed of public-private partnership with Aboitiz, Meralco and Unified Logistics Pass.

He also outlined the Ease of Doing Business Strategy Map throughout the country, focusing on the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business Program, Regulatory Reform Program and the clean, honest, efficient and customer centric program.as it provides a digitalized and streamlined business processing and licensing system in the country.

The eBOSS is aimed to streamline the procedures for the filing of applications and issuance of local business licenses, permits, clearances, and authorizations through the LGU's provision and usage of an on-demand single, digital portal. Cities and municipalities were mandated to implement eBOSS three years upon the effectivity of Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, pursuant to Section 11 of the same law.
